Effective September 1, 2026
This policy applies to timed auctions conducted by Plant Import Market. Review it before placing a bid. Auction purchases also remain subject to the Terms & Conditions, Import & Shipping Policy, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and Live Plant Condition Guarantee.
Bidder eligibility and accounts
A bidder must use an accurate customer account and keep its login credentials secure. Plant Import Market may restrict or cancel bidding connected to account misuse, payment fraud, collusion, attempts to manipulate an auction, or other conduct that threatens a fair sale.
Proxy bidding
Auctions use proxy bidding. The bidder enters the maximum amount they are willing to pay. The system increases the displayed bid only as much as necessary, using the stated bid increment, up to that confidential maximum. If maximum bids are equal, the maximum recorded first has priority.
Opening bids and reserves
An auction may have an opening bid and a private reserve. A reserve is the minimum amount at which Plant Import Market is willing to complete the sale. The reserve amount is not displayed, but the auction may indicate whether it has been met. If the reserve is not met, there is no winning sale.
Auction ending and extensions
The product page displays the scheduled ending time. Unless the listing states otherwise, a qualifying bid placed during the final five minutes extends the auction by five minutes. Additional qualifying bids during an extended final window can produce additional extensions. The ending recorded by the marketplace system controls.
Binding bids and corrections
By submitting a bid, the bidder confirms that the amount is intentional and that, if declared the winner, they will pay the final winning price, domestic shipping, and applicable tax. Bids ordinarily cannot be withdrawn. Contact Plant Import Market immediately if a genuine input error occurs; correction is discretionary and is not guaranteed after the auction closes.
Winner and payment
The eligible bidder with the highest maximum at closing wins when any reserve has been met. The final price is determined by the proxy-bidding rules and applicable increment. The winning account receives access to protected WooCommerce checkout and must complete payment within 24 hours unless the listing or written notice provides a different deadline.
If the winner does not pay on time, Plant Import Market may cancel the award, restrict the account, relist the plant, or offer it to another bidder. A second bidder is not charged or declared the winner automatically.
Import contingency and fulfillment
A winning auction establishes the purchase price but does not eliminate the conditions of international plant sourcing. If the plant becomes unavailable, is rejected, is lost before domestic fulfillment, or cannot legally complete import, the payment for that plant will be refunded to the original payment method in accordance with the Cancellation & Refund Policy. Import timing and legally required delay choices are governed by the Import & Shipping Policy.
Technical or listing errors
Plant Import Market may pause, extend, cancel, or correct an auction affected by a material listing error, verified service interruption, corrupted bid record, security incident, or other circumstance that prevents a fair and reliable result. We will not change a valid outcome merely because the final price is lower or higher than expected.
Condition concerns
Auction plants remain covered by the Live Plant Condition Guarantee. A condition concern must be reported within 48 hours of recorded domestic delivery with the required photographs.
These rules do not limit rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived. Plant Import Market should obtain qualified legal review of its auction program and policies before public launch.
